Apple kept the second generation iPad mini in its current lineup despite it being superseded by iPad mini 3. Although, the retail price was dropped to $299 from $399. iPad mini 3 is a modest (at best) upgrade and the vast majority of reviewers said iPad mini 2 is the best choice for consumers.
Well, Best Buy is making that notion even more definitive by putting the iPad mini 2 on sale for $249.99 with free shipping. That’s $49 below retail and the same price Apple charges for a refurbished unit.
